Sun, 23 April 2006 Tune in to another Something Jewish show with Leslie and Caroline, broadcast on Resonance 104.4FM on 23 April 2006. Comments[7] |
Sun, 9 April 2006 This week's SomethingJewish was themed around Passover. We played SoCalled's The SoCalled Seder which is a hip hop interpretation of the traditional Passover service at home. You can get the album via JDub Records. In between tracks, it was Alan Eder and friends with his Reggae Passover. All great stuff! Comments[1] |
Sun, 19 March 2006 Another Sunday means another SomethingJewish Show from Leslie and Caroline, broadcast on Resonance FM on Sunday March 19 2006.
This week's eclectic playlist featured music from the likes of Joe Roff, David Krakauer, Jon Madof and Maurice el Medioni. Plus Dan from the British band Emunah joined us live on the phone. Leslie and Caroline also conducted an interesting experiment involving mixing the voice of the speaking clock with the music of Matisyahu - but was it a success? Tune in and find out. |
Sun, 12 February 2006 This week Caroline and Leslie have a special guest in the studio - Sista Warrior.
Plus, all the best in Jewish music. |
Sun, 5 February 2006 Tune in to another edition of the Something Jewish show, hosted by Leslie and Caroline, which was broadcast on Resonance FM on Sunday February 5 2006.
This week's programme featured another selection of Jewish music from all around the world, with artists including Maxwell Street Klezmer Band, Ishtar and 8th Day, as well as Pharoah's Daughter frontwoman Basya Schechter. In the Versus section of the show, meanwhile, ska was under the spotlight, as we featured tracks from two artists putting a Jewish spin on the genre - King Django and Klezska. The former blends ska rhythms with Yiddish melodies, the latter give a fresh spin to the likes of Ose Shalom and Fiddler On the Roof - but which got the Something Jewish vote? |
