Sun, 29 January 2006 Join Leslie and Caroline for another edition of the Something Jewish show, broadcast on Resonance 104.4FM on Sunday January 29 2006.
This week's programme featured another selection of Jewish music from all around the world, with tracks from artists including Hip Hop Hoodios, Wolf Krakowski, Pharoah's Daughter and Frank London's Klezmer Brass Allstars, as well as a new band to the show, Kletka Red. Meanwhile the Versus section of the show took a trip back in time with old school klezmer giants Dave Tarras and Naftule Brandwein going head to head. We played two tracks from both artists, but which of the clarinet legends proved to be more popular with Leslie and Caroline. Tune in and find out. |

This week, Leslie and Caroline played music from artists including Dave Tarras, 8th Day, Matisyahu and Flying Bulgar Klezmer Band. Plus, two experimental bands went head to head in the versus section of the show - it was Naftule's Dream versus Juez. Leslie and Caroline listened to two tracks from each band and discussed their merits - but who was the winner? And which of the two had their music compared to the soundtrack of a Bond movie?
